The Distinguished Majors Program in the McIntire Department of Music presents Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Le Devin du village, under the direction of Wesley Diener and to be performed in Old Cabell Hall on April 21 at 2pm.

Rousseau's one act opera features two flighty young lovers searching for trust in themselves and one another.  They come across a mystical tarot reader, Le Devin, who only further complicates their doubts and conflict.  Just under an hour, this production features a modern, inventive, and hilarious interpretation of Rousseau's traditional opera.
