Indian Classical Night 2017
Indian Classical Night 2017 will take place on Saturday, April 8th, from 6-9:30pm at McLeod Hall Auditorium (the UVA Nursing School). There will be a photography exhibition and reception with Indian snacks from 6 to 7pm followed by the concert at 7pm. The reception, exhibition and concert are free and open to the public. Presented by The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) and the Hindu Students Council (HSC) at UVA.
Experience the incredible beauty of the Indian classical arts performed by a talented group of musicians, dancers, and vocalists from the University of Virginia student body, faculty, and Charlottesville community. Along with exciting new collaborations, this year’s show will feature a reception and photography exhibit featuring the work of Coe Sweet at 6pm. Local visual artist Chicho Lorenzo will also surprise us with a live art piece inspired by the show.
SPICMACAY at the University of Virginia, is a chapter of a non-profit organization for the promotion of Indian classical music and culture.
