During her time in Hawai’i, Marcha had the opportunity to work with Peabody Southwell from LA Opera, during which she discovered the coloratura range of Marcha’s voice. In her free time, Marcha enjoys playing guitar, songwriting, and spending time on the ice with her teammates on the Figure Skating Team at UVA. She enjoys working as a sound designer and mixer for student films around Grounds. After graduating, Marcha plans on moving to Hollywood to pursue music and sound in film.

The “Ave Maria” set marks the beginning of her journey and a few coloratura pieces, including “Der Hölle Rache,” represent her present journey forward. Additionally, the program will feature a Handel set, a French Art Song set, and a Musical Theater set to explore different expressions of Marcha’s voice.

Marcha will be accompanied by Karen Dalton on the piano for all her pieces.
