Music Department Tours

The McIntire Department of Music offers tours of our facilities by appointment during regular business hours. We will provide information on the Music Major, ensembles, classes, private lessons, and more.

You may arrange an appointment online via the form below or by contacting the Administrative Assistant at 434-924-3052 or music@virginia. All tours begin in the lobby of Old Cabell Hall, located on The Lawn, opposite the Rotunda.

Please provide a phone number where you may be reached on the day of the tour if necessary.

We provide tours from 9am-5pm on weekdays. If you are not able to visit during these hours, contact us directly to see about getting a tour at another time.
We can try to arrange a meeting with the relevant faculty member if you indicate your instrument here
If you are interested in learning about something in particular, let us know here. And if there are time constraints or a range of times when you could meet for the tour, that would be good to know - we will do our best to accommodate the time listed above though.
