UVA Composers Collective 1st Meeting: Hello & Listening Party!
Date: Wednesday Sept 4th, 5 - 6:30
Location: B011 (VCCM)

About the Event: Meet fellow composers, eat snacks, and listen to music at the UVA Composers Collective's first meeting of the semester! We'll get to know each other and discuss the mentorship program, event and workshop possibilities, and potential performance opportunities. Feel free to bring a piece of music that is important to you, your work, or that you just happen to like right now to share. Please email Heather Mease [hm5dd@virginia.edu] with any questions!

About the UVA Composers Collective:  The UVA Composers Collective connects University of Virginia student composers to share ideas, work, and knowledge in the areas of composition as well as music technology. Events throughout the school year such as workshops, listening parties, feedback sessions, and salons help create a community that fosters artistic growth. If interested, graduate students may partner with undergraduate students for guidance in creative musical activities such as instrumental composition, electroacoustic composition, multimedia composition, music production, sound design, composing for film, song writing, instrument building, and more. The UVA Composers Collective is inclusive of diverse musical styles, perspectives, ideas, and backgrounds. All are welcome!
