UVA Choral Showcase, Michael Slon conducting

Celebrate Family Weekend with one of the University of Virginia's most beloved musical traditions as the University Singers, UVA Chamber Singers, Virginia Glee Club, and Virginia Women's Chorus come together for the annual Family Weekend Choral Showcase on Saturday, October 24, at 8:00 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall.

The concert showcases the extraordinary talent and musical diversity of UVA's premier choral ensembles. The University Singers and UVA Chamber Singers are directed by UVA faculty member Michael Slon, while the Virginia Women's Chorus is led by Addie Walton and the Virginia Glee Club by Frank Albinder.

The evening's varied program features highlights from each ensemble's repertoire before culminating in a thrilling finale as all four choirs—more than 130 voices—join together for a performance of cherished University songs. Alumni from each ensemble are invited to return to the stage to take part in this annual Family Weekend tradition.

Tickets are $15 General Admission, $13 for UVA faculty and staff, and $5 for students

Tickets are available through the UVA Arts Box Office.

Old Cabell Hall is located at the south end of the University of Virginia's Historic Lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. For directions and parking information, please visit the Department of Music's Directions and Parking page.
