UVA Concert Band Spring Concert
Celebrate spring with an evening of music under the open sky as the University of Virginia Concert Band performs on Friday, April 16, 2027, at 6:00 p.m. in the University of Virginia Amphitheater.
Directed by Andrew Koch, the UVA Concert Band brings together student musicians from every school and department across the University in a collaborative ensemble dedicated to outstanding music-making. Open to all UVA students, the ensemble performs a diverse repertoire that spans traditional wind band masterworks, contemporary compositions, popular favorites, and music from cultures around the world.
The Concert Band's annual spring performance is a celebration of the ensemble's work throughout the semester and offers audiences an engaging evening of music in one of the University's most beautiful outdoor settings. Whether presenting time-honored classics or exciting new works, the ensemble is united by a shared commitment to musical excellence, creativity, and community.

Event Details
The University of Virginia Amphitheater (also known as the McIntire Amphitheatre) is a beautiful open-air venue nestled between Garrett Hall and the Lower Lawn on Central Grounds. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics to enjoy this relaxed outdoor performance.
Paid parking is available in the Central Grounds Parking Garage and the C1 parking lot behind the amphitheater. The venue is also served by UVA buses and the Charlottesville Free Trolley.
In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Hunter Smith Band Building, 180 Culbreth Road, Charlottesville.
