UVA Faculty Members at SEAMUS (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States)

The UVA Department of Music had a fantastic showing at this year’s SEAMUS (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) national conference, held at the University of Texas at San Antonio. One of the highlights of the conference came on Friday night, May 22nd, during "Concert 13." The Piedmont Duo—our very own Ayn Balija (viola) and I-Jen Fang (percussion)—took the stage to perform Crossed Wires, a brilliant piece composed by fellow faculty member Leah Reid. Our own graduate student, Varun Kishore, was also featured at the same concert performing his own composition, Fracture.
