UVA Flute Ensemble Performs in the Rotunda Dome Room

Graceful melodies and shimmering sonorities fill one of the University's most iconic spaces as the University of Virginia Flute Ensemble presents a special afternoon concert on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Rotunda Dome Room. This concert is free and open to the public.

Directed by Kelly Sulick, the UVA Flute Ensemble brings together talented student flutists in performances that celebrate the remarkable versatility and expressive range of the flute family. From sparkling piccolo passages to the warm, resonant tones of alto and bass flutes, the ensemble explores a rich and varied repertoire encompassing classical favorites, contemporary works, and music inspired by cultures from around the world.

Known for her engaging musicianship and commitment to student artistry, Sulick guides the ensemble in performances that emphasize musical expression, refined ensemble playing, and artistic collaboration. The concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience the beauty and color of the flute in an intimate chamber music setting.

The Rotunda Dome Room is located in the University of Virginia Rotunda at the heart of the Historic Lawn. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early.  Parking for the UVA Flute Ensemble is available on-street or in nearby lots, including the outdoor pay lots located on "The Corner" along University Avenue.
