Indian Classical Night 2018
Saturday, April 21st, 6-9:30pm, McLeod Hall Auditorium (UVA Nursing School)
Experience the incredible beauty of the Indian classical arts performed by a talented group of musicians, dancers, and vocalists from the University of Virginia student body, faculty, and Charlottesville community. This year’s show will feature a reception with palazzo pant sales to benefit ‘Shakti Apparel,’ a social business venture benefitting women in rural India. Local visual artist Chicho Lorenzo will also surprise the audience with a live art piece inspired by the show. Indian Classical Night is presented by The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY at UVA).
