Charlottesville Symphony - Beethoven’s Seventh

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door

Saturday, September 23 - 2017

Tickets for this concert will be put on sale as they become available.  There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door.

New Music Director Benjamin Rous kicks off his tenure at the Charlottesville Symphony with a concert that showcases the visceral thrill of orchestral music. The program moves from the dazzling, breathless virtuosity of John Adams’ fanfare Short Ride in a Fast Machine to the sumptuous lyricism of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, performed by Principal Clarinet Shawn Earle. And it closes with Beethoven’s brilliant Seventh Symphony, famous for its infectious energy and probing intensity.
