Meet the instruments of the orchestra one-on-one in a hands-on Musical Instrument Petting Zoo at Monticello High School on Sunday, Petting Zoo March 25, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m, for free.
 

The Charlottesville & University Symphony Orchestra present its Musical Instrument Petting Zoo from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday March 25, 2012 at Monticello High School. Miniature Mozarts and budding Beethovens will be able to hear, see, touch and learn to make sounds on musical instruments. Faculty members Petting Zooand students from the Charlottesville & University Symphony Orchestra will help students explore the instruments of the orchestra.

Music for Hope will be providing the instruments children can use at the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo. Music for Hope buys new instruments and refurbishes used instruments to make sure students in low-income families and under-funded school music programs can learn to play music.
