Flute Ensemble
The UVA Flute Ensemble is composed of talented student musicians majoring in all areas of study. Recitals feature music from all eras and styles, and include pieces for larger flute ensemble and smaller chamber works. Students perform with and without a conductor. Recent performances have celebrated the works of J.S. Bach, Valerie Coleman, Claude Debussy, Jennifer Higdon, Allison Loggins-Hull, Catherine McMichael, Judy Nishimura, Mike Mower, and G.P. Telemann, among others. The group presents a full recital at the end of each semester and also performs throughout the community.
