The Jazz Combos at the University of Virginia will present a free recital on Sunday, April 17th at 7pm in Brooks Hall Commons. The Combos are taught by distinguished jazz performance faculty members Pete Spaar, Jeff Decker and Mike Rosensky. The combos range in size from quartets to octets and vary in skill-level from intermediate to advanced.
Chosen from a diverse range of jazz styles, this concerts repoitore includes Alfie's Theme by Sonny Rollins, Four on Six by Wes Montgomery, Iris by Wayne Shorter Night and Day by Cole Porter as well as original songs and compositions.

Friday Afternoon Jazz Combo Coached by Jeff Decker
Besides a formal concert at the end of each semester, the jazz combo groups perform at several outreach performances in the Charlottesville community, and give a final end-of-year celebration concert, "Jazz in the Amphitheatre."
Brooks Hall is located just east of the Rotunda on University Avenue. Parking is available on University Avenue, as well as at the parking lots on "the Corner".
