Live Sonima Tour featuring Caroline Jones in concert performing selections from The Heart is Smart

The University of Virginia’s McIntire Department of Music and Contemplative Sciences Center are pleased to present the Live Sonima Tour to be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:00pm in the Old Cabell Hall. This event features a concert performance by Caroline Jones followed by an inspirational talk by Stedman Graham

Caroline has performed & conducted her songwriting, vocal performance & entrepreneurship workshops at hundreds of schools across America. Following her performance, Graham will lead a talk and workshop on the topics of identity development and leadership. This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is suggested but not required.  Participants can register at uvacontemplation.org.

Caroline Jones is an uplifting, inspiring singer-songwriter. Her music is poetry sung over her acoustic guitar, piano, banjo & harmonica playing. She has performed at Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall & shared bills with James Taylor, Deepak Chopra, The Beach Boys, Dave Matthews, Paul Simon, Ani DiFranco, Ziggy Marley & The Wailers, Grace Potter, & Patti Smith. She has written and produced four albums. Caroline’s is classically trained in the Bel Canto operatic technique & American Songbook tradition. Caroline hosts a Sirius XM radio show “Art & Soul,” where she trades songs and stories with guest singer-songwriters to take the listener “inside the art of songwriting to the soul of the song."

As an educator and speaker, Stedman Graham lectures and conducts seminars for businesses and educational organizations worldwide on the topics of Identity Development and Leadership. Graham considers it his mission to transform followers into leaders and has a passion for helping young people adopt a larger vision for their lives. He is the author of eleven books including two New York Times bestsellers. His most recent book, “Identity: Your Passport to Success” is a Wall Street Journal bestseller.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda.  Parking is available in the central grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Rd, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner.  Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
