Making Noise in the Library
November 3, 2023 - 3:00pm
Music Library in Old Cabell Hall
Free

The Making Noise in the Library series presents performances by the UVA Clarinet and Bassoon Ensembles on Friday, November 3 at 3:00 pm in the Music Library located in Old Cabell Hall on the historic Lawn of the University of Virginia.  This is free and open to the public (no tickets required).

The Making Noise in the Library series brings artists into the Music Library for free performances. Come support the UVA clarinet and bassoon students as they share their achievements in a somewhat spooky, post-Halloween concert.  The UVA Clarinet Ensemble is led by Dr. Jiyeon Choi, and the Bassoon Ensemble is led by Dr. Elizabeth (Ibby) Roberts.

The program includes Joe Hisaishi’s Merry Go Around of Life (from Howl’s Moving Castle), Spooky Scary Skeletons, Rachmaninov’s Italian Polka, the Muppet Show Theme, and more!

Light snacks will be provided.

The Music Library occupies the lower floors of Old Cabell Hall which is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda (map). For parking information, visit: https://music.virginia.edu/directions-parking
