Join the University Singers, UVA Chamber Singers, Virginia Glee Club, and Virginia Women’s Chorus for the traditional Family Weekend Choral Showcase—Friday, October 26th, 8:00 pm in Old Cabell Hall on the Lawn at the University of Virginia.

The concert’s lively and varied program will feature selections from all four ensembles’ 2018 repertoire—including works by Eriks Esenvalds and Joan Szymko, as well as Vaughan Williams, Tallis, Elgar, and Tchesnokov.  The evening will close with a joint performance of Stephen Paulus’s “The Road Home” as well as the beloved UVA songs, sung by the combined choruses (nearly 200 voices strong), who will be joined on stage by their alumni.

The Virginia Women’s Chorus is conducted by KaeRenae Mitchell, the Virginia Glee Club is led by conductor Frank Albinder, and the University Singers and UVA Chamber Singers are directed by UVA faculty conductor Michael Slon.

Tickets for the program are available at the UVA Arts Box Office in the Culbreth building, online at artsboxoffice.virginia.edu or by calling (434) 924-3376.  Tickets will also be available at the door starting at 7pm on the night of the concert.
