Flute Ensemble
The UVA Flute Ensemble is comprised of talented student musicians
majoring in all areas of study. Recitals feature music of
standard flute repertoire as well as contemporary works,
including pieces for soloists and multiple flutes. The Ensemble
is directed by Kelly Sulick.
November's concert features music written or arranged for six
flutes, including classics by J.S. Bach and G.P. Telemann
alongside newer works by Deborah J. Anderson, Gretchen Morse, and
Liz Sharma. In the true spirit of chamber music, the ensemble
will perform without a conductor to highlight the conversational
qualities of playing music in a chamber setting.
The UVA Flute Ensemble features Christopher Lee, Tatevik
Markaryan, Avery Morrison, Sabrina Stenberg, Lucy Wu, and Melissa
Wu.
