Department of Music

Following his marimba recital and A Night of Percussion Concert with the UVA Percussion Ensemble, Gordon Stout, an internationally renowned marimba soloist and educator, will be holding a master class with pre-selected UVA marimba students.  A distinguished Professor of Percussion at the School of Music at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY where he has taught percussion since 1980, Stout is a frequent lecturer/recitalist for the Percussive Arts Society, and a frequent judicator for international marimba competitions.  This event is free and open to the public.
