Jazz in the Amphitheater 2022
The University of Virginia Department of Music presents the UVA Jazz Small Groups for an afternoon of Jazz in the Amphitheater on Wednesday, May 4th from noon to 3pm.
The Jazz Small Groups are taught by distinguished jazz performance faculty members Pete Spaar and Mike Rosensky. The groups range in size from quartets to octets and vary in skill-level from intermediate to advanced.
Repertoire is chosen from a diverse range of jazz styles by such greats as Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Lee Morgan, Antonio Carlos Jobim, among many others, as well as original compositions by both faculty and students.

Bring a picnic or pick one up at the Corner, the West Range, or at one of the food trucks, and relax and enjoy an afternoon of Jazz in the Amphitheater.
Parking is available in at the Central Grounds Parking Garage, or in the lots off University Avenue at the University Corner. Handicapped parking is available in the C1 parking lot or in designated spaces on McCormick Avenue.
