The McIntire Department of Music and The Charlottesville Jazz Society invite you to a Master Class with award-winning Dutch drummer Han Bennink on Monday, January 19th, 7pm to 9pm, in Garrett Hall. The event is free for students & Music Department Faculty and $10 for all others.
The 1st set will be a performance by Han Bennink with Mary Olivor on violin, and some area jazz musicians.
Afterward there will be a master class on percussion and improvisation by Bennink. Students are encouraged to participate. More information will be online at www.cvillejazz.org and at wtju.net in the near future.
