Music Matters presents 'Mixing in the Morning'

May 4, 2019 - 11:58am
Outside of New Cabell Hall and Rap Lab (NCH 398)
Free

Now is the time to celebrate-- from the symphony of blooms we’ve seen on Grounds the last few weeks to moments of discovery in the classroom (and of course winning the National Championships), this semester has been one for the books. Without further aDo-n breakfast, Music Matters presents Mixing in the Morning, a time and space for celebration of the past year and those who have made it meaningful. Invite a peer, professor, or someone you’ve passed by a million times but never had the opportunity to talk to, and connect over a late-morning breakfast and activities. The event will feature a live digital link with our creative collaborators at the Black Power Station in Makhanda, South Africa, as we make pancakes, learn how to curate a DJ setlist, and play around with music creation games on virtual reality. This event has been generously funded by the Mead endowment, so attendance and food is free. We hope to see you there!

Music Matters strives to build bonds between students, faculty and the greater Charlottesville community. This opportunity allows for students and professors to talk about what makes an effective collaborative space and what they would like to see in a potential "sister-space".
