Together in Song featuring the Fauré Requiem
The Oratorio Society of Virginia and UVA University Singers will jointly present a special Together in Song event Monday, May 3rd at 7:30 pm, featuring the Fauré Requiem. Conceived in the spirit of the Messiah Sing-In, and the Together in Song concerts, this one-time virtual event invites you to join singers from across the community, and sing or play from the comfort of your living room.
Join Michael Slon, UVA’s Director of Choral Music and Oratorio Society music director, pianist Deke Polifka, and a small group of singers broadcast live from St. Paul’s on the Corner. Participants can enjoy a master class followed by a sing-through of the beautiful work, offered as a remembrance of all that we’ve lost during this pandemic time. The event is free and open to the public – no advanced preparation is necessary, and a special registration link for the Zoom Webinar format is included here.
Singers and instrumentalists are welcome to use their own score, or view scores at these links:
