Department of Music

The UVA McIntire Department of Music presents a Performance  Concentration Recital on Friday April 20th at 4:00pm in Old Cabell Hall.  The recital is free and open to the public.

This Showcase Recital by the outstanding musicians of UVA’s Performance Concentration features student performers selected through a competitive audition for the Music Performance Concentration Program.  The concentration is open to advanced 3rd and 4th year Music Majors who work closely with expert faculty in seminars designed to maximize each performer’s on-stage potential.

Audience members can expect to hear remarkable performances by Wesley Diener (baritone), Josephine Miller (soprano), Julianna Lee (percussion), Luc Cianfarani (piano), Nicholas Rupert (cello), Baylor Towne (violin), Aiman Khan (french horn) and Chuanyuan Liu (tenor). They will be featuring works by Barber, Bach, Kapustin, Gliere, Trevino and more.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda (map). Parking is available in the Central Grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Road, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner.
