UVA Chamber Music Series - Mendelssohn
The University of Virginia McIntire Department of Music presents the first concert in the UVA Chamber Music Series on Sunday, October 20th at 3:30pm in Old Cabell Hall.
In an all-Mendelssohn program, violinist David Sariti (University of Virginia), cellist Brent Wissick (UNC-Chapel Hill) and pianist Andrew Willis (UNC-Greensboro) breathe new life into old favorites. The program, which includes the Violin Sonata in F Major, Cello Sonata in D Major, and Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, will be presented using performance practices and instruments of the period,including an 1841 Bösendorfer.
Tickets for this concert are $15 general admission, $8 for students, free for UVA students who reserve in advance and for those under 18. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Arts Box Office at 434.924.3376 or visiting artsboxoffice.virginia.edu

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic Lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. Parking is available in at the Central Grounds Parking Garage, or in the lots off University Avenue at the University Corner. Handicapped parking is available in the C1 parking lot or in designated spaces on McCormick Avenue.
