The Virginia Womens Chorus is excited to present their spring concert: The Sixties and Beyond!  The event will be held at Old Cabell Hall on Saturday, April 15th, at 3:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased through the Square and at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert.

Need some fun and nostalgic live music in your life? The Virginia Women’s Chorus is switching things up and featuring a second half filled with Carole King favorites as well as Disney selections. The Chorus promises to leave you feeling uplifted and inspired..

This concert will feature favorites such as It’s Too Late and Will You (Still) Love Me Tomorrow and Can You Feel the Love Tonight and Spirit. The first half will feature classical music and a selection that features two camp meeting songs. Both Tundra and By Night, a recent composition, could possibly sweep theaudience away with beauty and majesty. Well-balanced in its fun and more serious selections, the program showcases the variety that has become a hallmark of the Virginia Women’s Chorus.
 

The Chorus is unique in that it is a student-run organization which hires a professional director. This is the 27th year under the direction of Katherine (KaeRenae) Mitchell. Virginia Women’s Chorus is composed of undergraduate and  graduate students from numerous degree programs and provides anurturing and fun community for students and community members.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA’s historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. (map) Parking is available in the Central Grounds Parking Garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Rd, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner.  Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
