Her recital program will feature Rachmaninoff’s Sonata in G minor for Cello and Piano, Op. 19, Beethoven's Sonata for Piano and Cello in A major, op. 69, and Bach's Third Unaccompanied Cello Suite in C Major. This event is free and will be live-streamed. The link to the live feed and a PDF of the program will be available on this page on the day of the event.
Isabella is pursuing a double major in Biology and Music with a Performance Concentration. In addition to performing with the Charlottesville Symphony, she participates in the UVA Jazz Ensemble. Isabella has greatly enjoyed all of the music classes she has taken at UVA, particularly Studies in 17th and 18th Century Music with Richard Will and Orchestration with Ben Rous. Her favorite memory at UVA is when she played the Pines of Rome with the Charlottesville Symphony on her 20th birthday.
This recital is supported by the Charles S. Roberts Scholarship Fund. Established in 2004 by the generosity of Mr. Alan Y. Roberts ('64) and Mrs. Sally G. Roberts, the Charles S. Roberts Scholarship Fund underwrites the private lessons and recital costs for undergraduate music majors giving a recital in their fourth year as part of a distinguished major program in music.
