UVA Baroque Orchestra
The University of Virginia Department of Music is proud to present the Baroque Orchestra on Sunday, April 16 at 8pm in Old Cabell Hall.
The UVA Baroque Orchestra, directed by faculty violinist David Sariti, presents a program of works by both well-known and unjustly neglected 18th-century composers. Audiences will recognize the music of Telemann and Handel, but may find a new favorite in the music of Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre and the French-African composer Joseph Bologne Chevalier de St. Georges.
Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA’s historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. (map) Parking is available in the central grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Rd, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner. Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
Tickets are available through the UVA Arts Box Office or at the door one hour prior to the concert. UVA students need to reserve their tickets 24 hours in advance at the UVA Arts Box Office student ticket portal.
