Free Performances
The UVA Department of Music presents more than 120 concerts and performances each year, showcasing the creativity and diversity of its students, faculty, and guest artists. Many of these events — from chamber music and jazz to symphony concerts and recitals — are free and open to the public, inviting the Charlottesville community to experience world‑class music in historic Old Cabell Hall and other campus venues. It’s one of the most accessible and vibrant ways to enjoy the arts at UVA.
