Memorial Service for Professor Ernest Mead

There will be a memroial service for the late and beloved professor Ernest Mead on Saturday, March 29, at 3:00 pm in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. There will be a recpetion to follow at the Colonnade Club (UVa's Pavillion VII).
Ernest Campbell "Boots" Mead Jr. - a beloved music professor at the University of Virginia who came to see his mentoring role with students as his life's theme - passed away on February 13. He was 95, but taught his last liberal arts seminar last Fall semester, though he had formally retired in 1996. Mead is survived by daughters, Lindsay Lowdon and Jenny Mead, both of Charlottesville; two granddaughters; and an extended family.
