Michael Idzior is the Assistant Director of Bands for the Cavalier Marching Band and in his seventh year at the University of Virginia. Originally from the state of Michigan, he received his bachelor’s of music degree in music education from Western Michigan University and his master’s degree in euphonium performance from the University of North Texas.  Mr. Idzior is currently pursuing a doctor of musical arts degree at the University of North Texas where he was most recently a teaching fellow for the internationally renown North Texas euphonium studio under Dr. Brian Bowman.

The recital is free and open to the public.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda.  (map) Parking is available in the central grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Rd, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner.  Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
