Telemetry featuring Yessirov, B.B. Corn, Secret Bad Guys, Erik Bergstrom
The May installment of the Telemetry concert series at The Bridge PAI features the following:
Yessirov - https://www.yessirov.com/
YESSIROV is a musician, writer, and editor of audio & video. The debut EP SMALL COMFORT is out now.
"Small Comfort blends somber reflective vocals with a musical bed of minimal acoustic organic sounds...Cascades of detached sometimes dissonant sounds fall in and out, giving the EP an understated yet very trippy dramatic pull. This aesthetic feels like sounds that could be in a Paul Thomas Anderson film." -American Pancake
B.B. Corn - Voice, text, harp, objects, electronic sounds, video. “Definitely not jazz?”
Secret Bad Guys - Hailing from Richmond, VA. Members of Beak Trio and CGI Jesus
Erik Bergstrom - modular synthesist playing the Make Noise Shared System
This monthly music series occurs in partnership with The Bridge, and features UVA faculty, students, locals, and renown experimental performers. They push boundaries of musicianship by offering a unique laboratory to engage new methods of composition and instrumentation. Unlike anything else in the city, Charlottesville artists and audiences connect with new concepts and are continuously inspired towards ingenuity through unique sound experiences.
