Joel Jacobus

Joel Jacobus is the Director of Music Production. The Director of Music Production oversees scheduling and billing for over 260 events annually in Old Cabell Hall Auditorium, manages OCH House Managers, coordinates with key University and Public Safety offices, and maintains the master calendar of all public music department events. 

Joel has a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from Indiana University and worked at the Indiana University Auditorium for twenty years before moving to Charlottesville.

Outside of administration work, Joel has toured Florida as Rooster in the musical Annie, was a zombie in The Walking Dead, and an opioid addict in the final scene of the Emmy award winning mini series Dopesick with Michael Keaton. In his spare time, he collects things related to the New Yorker cartoonist Charles Addams.
