Calling all high school string players! On Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 1-5pm the UVA String Faculty will be hosting a Senior Regional Orchestra Audition Prep Day at Old Cabell Hall. This free event will feature sectionals for each instrument covering the scales and excerpts required while also giving tips of how to audition more successfully. The day will culminate in a blind mock audition. Each participant will be provided with feedback to help prepare and practice. Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. Parking is available in the central grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Rd, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner. Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
