String Chamber Ensembles
The String Chamber Ensemble class gives students an opportunity to study and perform major works while focusing on the development of their chamber music skills.
- Once accepted, students are placed in groups with other students of like ability.
- Groups meet twice per week- once to rehearse, and once for a coaching with a faculty member (exact times are TBD in consultation with group members and the coach).
- Groups perform twice per semester- once at a masterclass in the middle of the semester, and once at an end-of-semester concert. Students must be able to participate in both performances to participate in the course- please check the dates below!!!
- Pianists: Due to limited availability in the course, preference will be given to piano students taking private lessons.
