The String Chamber Ensembles feature many talented young musicians who come together to perform numerous works that they have perfected over the course of the semester under the direction of faculty musicians. Chamber music ensembles give students an opportunity to experience major works outside of the archetypal large orchestra setting, allowing students to hone their knowledge of what they contribute to their ensembles' performances. Students greatly improve their individual performance skills in a manner that is completely unique to working in these smaller and focused chamber music ensembles.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. For parking options, please visit our Directions and Parking page.
