UVA Cello Studio Recital-fall 2025
On Sunday, December 7th at 12pm, students from the UVA cello studio will present a recital of solo cello music in the dome room of the rotunda. This concert is free, open to the public, and will feature music by Bach, György Ligeti, Gaspar Cassadó, Mark O'Connor, and Mark Summer.
The performers will be announced soon.
The UVA Cello Ensemble is directed by Adam Carter. Cellist Adam Carter maintains an active career as a recitalist, chamber and orchestral musician, and teacher. Dr. Carter is currently the principal cellist of the Charlottesville Symphony and has performed with the Richmond Symphony, Madison Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.
This free recital takes place at the Dome Room of the Rotunda at the University of Virginia. Parking is available in the central grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, and along the streets by the church or in The Corner Parking Lots. The Free Trolley stop is in front of the Rotunda, directly across the street from St. Paul's Church.
