UVA Chamber Singers directed by Michael Slon
The University of Virginia McIntire Department of Music presents the Chamber Singers directed by Michael Slon in concert on Friday November 20th at 8:00 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall. For their Fall 2015 performance the Chamber Singers will be joined on stage by Three Notch'd Road: the Charlottesville Baroque Ensemble and guest soloists in presenting Purcell's Dido & Aeneas. Come enjoy an evening of beautiful music as the Chamber Singers and Three Notch'd Road recount the tale of Queen Dido's love for Aeneas.
Founded in 2005, the UVa Chamber Singers is a select ensemble drawn from the University Singers, and performs a wide variety of music for chamber choir ranging from early music to contemporary compositions. Active as a conductor of choral, orchestral, and operatic repertoire, Michael Slon is currently Conductor of the University Singers, Chamber Singers, and a professor on the music faculty at the University of Virginia, where he also guest conducts the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia. He also serves as the Music Director of the Oratorio Society of Virginia.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
