UVA Wind Ensemble Concert

 The McIntire Department of Music presents the University of Virginia Wind Ensemble on Sunday, November 8th at 4:30 p.m. in the Hunter Smith Band Building. 

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. William Pease, features 52 of the most outstanding brass, woodwind, and percussion players at the University. The UVA Wind Ensemble is  dedicated to excellent performance and diverse repertoire encompassing a wide variety of styles and composers.

William E. Pease is Director of Bands at the University of Virginia.  His responsibilities include directing the Cavalier Marching Band the UVa Wind Ensemble, and the Men's Basketball band.  He earned his D.M.A. and M.M. at James Madison University in conducting, and his B.S. West Chester State College, Music Education.

The program includes Bizet's Carmen Fantasy, Rolling Thunder by Henry Fillmore; English Waltz by Percy Aldridge Grainger among others.

The Hunter Smith Band Building is located at 180 Culbreth Road at the University of Virginia. Parking for the concert is available at the Culbreth Road Parking Garage.
