The Virginia Gentlemen, UVA’s premier and longest-standing acapella group, are proud to present their 2025 Family Weekend Concert on Saturday, November 8th at 8:00 PM in Old Cabell Hall!

This concert features an exciting mix of vocal music, from modern pop and R&B hits to classic doo-wop. Join the VGs as they continue their 70+ year tradition of blazers, bowties, and musical excellence.

Founded in 1953 as an octet of the Glee Club, the Virginia Gentlemen are the University of Virginia’s oldest acapella group. Today, being a VG means mastering a massive repertoire for weekly gigs, performing two major concerts each year, and traveling the world to sing. With recent tours in Washington DC, China, Hong Kong, Peru, Southeast Asia, Spain, and an upcoming international tour to Mexico this January, the VGs stay busy. During 2023’s 70th anniversary celebration, when they sang with over 80 alumni, including members of the Original Eight VGs, it became clear that while much has changed at the University and beyond, being a VG is a lifelong bond. At their core, they are a group of people who love to sing and share music.
