UVA Concert Band

Join the 110-member UVA Concert Band for an evening of musical showmanship on Friday, April 18 at 6pm in the UVA Amphitheatre.
The star-studded program, entitled A Jefferson Portrait will be narrated by Steven Edenbo “The Young Thomas Jefferson” and feature amazing guest and UVA soloists. From the United States Army Chorus, we welcome vocal soloists Jocelyn Pride and Ian Kelly performing two Broadway hits from Les Misérables—"Bring Him Home” & “I Dreamed a Dream,” and “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.

Our own University of Virginia talent will also be on full display, including co-director Michael Idzior on euphonium performing “The Yellow Rose of Texas,” and a myriad of talented UVA student musicians performing features and ensemble selections that you will be singing for days.
Bring a picnic dinner, sit back, and enjoy the show!
The McIntire Amphitheatre is located on McCormick Road on Central Grounds. It is adjacent to the Lower Lawn.
