Alex Christie is the Technical Coordinator for the Composition and Computer Technologies program. He manages the CCT studios, assists with research and teaching, and produces CCT concerts and events that showcase the creative work of faculty and students.
Alex is a composer, intermedia artist, instrument builder, and lighting designer whose work explores the agency of non-human actors and the collision of creative media. They hold degrees from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music (BM), Mills College (MFA), and the University of Virginia (PhD).
When not immersed in electronic sound, Alex enjoys reading and hiking.
