The UVA Department of Music presents a piano recital featuring students from the studio of Francesca Hurst, Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30pm in the University Chapel. Attendance is free and open to the public.

The Gothic-inspired chapel was designed by Baltimore architect and UVA alum Charles Emmet Cassell. It was constructed between 1884 and 1890. and funded by the Ladies Chapel Aid Society. A complete renovation in 2023 restored the historic chapel’s Victorian palette. You can read about the chapel renovation here.
Parking can be found in the Central Grounds Parking Garage, in the spaces along McCormick Road or in the parking spaces along University Avenue.
Please note the University Chapel does not have restrooms. The closest restrooms are located in Shannon Library or Newcomb Hall.
