Take a midday musical break with the University of Virginia Department of Music's Tea Time Student Recitals on Thursday, December 3, and Friday, December 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall. Each recital is free and open to the public and will also be streamed on the UVA Music YouTube.channel.

These informal concerts showcase the talent, artistry, and dedication of UVA's student musicians in a varied program of solo and chamber performances. Featuring works that span centuries, styles, and cultures, each recital offers audiences an opportunity to experience the remarkable progress students have made through a semester of study, practice, and performance.

Whether you're a longtime music lover or simply looking for an inspiring way to spend your lunch hour, the Tea Time Student Recitals offer an enjoyable glimpse into the vibrant musical life of the University.

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. For parking options, please visit our Directions and Parking page.
